The largest surviving Kiln Complex in Pembrokeshire is at Kiln Park Caravan Site
(12 kilns ), near Tenby .
This is the Eastern of the 2 complexes (each with 6 Kilns ) .
The western group had a rail line which ran within a passage in the kiln complex.
The Limestone was sourced from the adjacent Blackrock Quarries ,
Coal brought in by boat from Saundersfoot . Site closed in 1902.
Location :- On the Road inside Kiln Park (near the entrance), the road is also a Footpath ,
which winds its way to Tenby South Beach.
Most kilns were small, set up by individual farmers , built singly or in 2's
at many locations around the Coast.
At Porth Clais 2+2 remain ,at Solva 4+ out of 10 remain .
