Old records indicate a rock type "Halleflinta " was found in the Caer Bwdy Valley
(Pont Clegyr) and at St Non's Bay .
This rock type may have been renamed in recent times as a type of Rhyolite ?.
Halleflinta is the Swedish name for dense fine grained metamorphic rocks
with a pale green colour , translucent when broken into thin pieces.
A Volcanic Rock from the Pre-Cambrian Period (610-575 MYO) , a Silicified Acid Tuff .
This photo shows a band of this Rock , in St Non's Bay - at the bottom of a small
cleft in the cliffs , cut by the stream passing through St Non's Well.
