Deformed Sediment Structures
Deformed Sediment Structures

3 photos of sections of the Northern Cliff face at West Angle Bay , showing Sedimentary
Structures. The strata in the cliff is near vertical , forced into this position by the Variscan
Orogeny which took place over a period of 70 million years - 290 million years ago.
The photo on the left is of an exposed fault surface , where a section of the cliff
has fallen away.
These Features developed at deposition or the first stages of the sediment's consolidation
and include - Slump Structures (formed in areas with steep slopes).
