A distance of about 51+ miles .

After fording the tidal creeks at Sandy Haven and The Gann (Dale - Pickleridge ) , there should be no further problems on the path to Whitesands.

Excellent Beaches at Marloes Sands , Broad Haven (NORTH) , Newgale , Whitesands .
The path passes Skomer Island , to the south of St Brides Bay , and Ramsey Island , to the north .

Basic COAST GEOLOGY -
Folds / faults in the rock strata were caused :-
South of Druidston Haven, mainly by the Variscan mountain building episode ( Orogeny ), 290 MYA (million years ago) , at the end of the Carboniferous Period.
North of Druidston Haven , by the Caledonian (Acadian) Orogeny , 400 MYA - Devonian Period.

Old Red Sandstone Initally - DEVONIAN PERIOD - 360 / 420 MYA .
With Silurian sedimentary at Marloes and Silurian Volcanic at Wooltack Point / Skomer Island - SILURIAN PERIOD - 420 / 440 MYA .

Coal Measures and some Millstone Grit - CARBONIFEROUS PERIOD - 290 / 360 MYA , reappear between Little Haven / Newgale .

From Druidston Haven the younger rocks of South Pembrokeshire give way to the much Older Cambrian Rocks - CAMBRIAN PERIOD - 495 / 545 MYA , with some even older Pre Cambrian at St Davids - 570 / 610 MYA.
The Oldest Rocks in Pembrokeshire are 640 Million years old.
