2.2 - PEMBROKE DOCK - HAVERFORD WEST

Using a combination of Foot Paths and Roads large parts of the Cleaddau waterways can be visited , however some sections have no access . Just as the route of the " Pembrokeshire Coast Path " must have been like , before 1970 .

Waders and waterfowl can be found in this rich area of mudflats - Herons , Swans , Little Egrets , Curlew , Shelduck , Little Grebe , Cormorant , Oystercatcher , Lapwing , Wagtails ,-----------

Visitors - Wigeon , Teal , Shoveler , Knot , Purple Sandpiper , Snipe , Redshank , Turnstone ,Tufted Duck ,-------

A long section of the Cleddau waterway can be followed on the "The Landsker Border Trail " .
From CRESSWELL QUAY (P) , Inn - tourist spot, the LBT passes - Lawrenny Quay , through Lawrenny Wood to Garron Pill (P) / Landshipping Quay / Landshipping Slipway / Sisters House , through Minwear Wood to a Viewpoint (P) and then Blackpool Mill (P). Cross the River at the mill , which is open in season , river tidal to about this point , then a footpath leads to Slebech Church ruins .
