St Justinian's Chapel

The remains of Capel Stinan / a roofless 14th century pilgrimage chapel , to St Justinian ( the confessor of St David ).
Restored in the 16 century / on the site of an earlier Celtic chapel / shrine - the first burial place of St Justinian (a 6th century missionary from Brittany , who lived as a hermit on Ramsey ).
The rugged coast of the St Davids penninsula was a major centre of christian activity from 400AD and an important european place of Pilgrimage .
